2nd Ordinary General Assembly successfully concluded

On 1.4.2022, the Steigenberger Grandhotel & Spa Petersberg the Annual General Meeting of the Health Media Award e.V. in Königswinter, chaired by the Chairman of the Meeting and 1st Chairman Markus Berger took place. In addition to numerous, mainly corona-related amendments to the statutes, the discharge of the board and the election of a vice-chairman, guest speakers from various areas of the health industry were invited for the first time.

Tax consultant Martin Schöning presented his report on the financial situation of the association at the beginning of the meeting. The discharge of the board was then proposed and approved by the members. A little later, the planned expansion of the association's board of directors was discussed. Founding member Nicolas Marion ran for this office and was elected Deputy Chair of the Association at the General Assembly. This was followed by a series of motions to amend the statutes, with which the general meeting prepared the Health Media Award for future challenges.

During the subsequent speech by jury president Tony Westwood the focus was not only on the Health:Angels award to the "Dr. Glas" project in Stockholm, but also on the award to the Museum of Nursing History in Copenhagen and the plans for the further internationalisation of the Health Media Award. These were also the topics of the conversation with Staffan Holmwho had joined digitally from Stockholm.

Tim Ford then spoke humorously about his sporting career and working in the fitness industry. He reported on the importance of dialogue and staging for successful work and announced that he would continue to contribute his experience.

Mirjam Berle reported on her experience of working in the field of communication. She is self-employed in the field of crisis communication "In Word and Deed". The Italian artist Massimo Bramandi described to the general assembly how art takes on a communicative function and speaks for him, so to speak. He reported on the creation of the Health:Angel sculpture. Romy Munder and Eddie Muehlender from the Agency wavebreaker presented the activities of their design studio with a view to internationalisation using the example of the revised Bramandi Art website.

Finally, a video message from the Prof. Dr Ulrich Hegerl (Stiftung Deutsche Depressionshilfe), which was organised together with TV entertainer and patron Harald Schmidt was honoured with a Health:Angel following the general meeting at the suggestion of Grand Jury President Tony Westwood.

With a speech by Prof. Dr Björn Maier on the topic "Project outline for the research project Evaluation of the Health Media Award" concluded the official part of the general meeting. Afterwards, there was time for networking at the Health:Angel reception.
