Dr. jur. Rainer Weck was Founding member of the registered association Health Media Award. During his membership, he developed the association's statutes and the contribution rules for supporting members. Nevertheless, he reviewed important contracts with service providers for the association's events. For health reasons, he resigned from his position as Vice-Chairman of the Association in the summer of 2019. On 1 April 2020, the General Assembly elected him Honorary President for Life. Nevertheless, he remained with the association as legal advisor until his death.
