The Corona pandemic hit the Health Media Award e.V. very hard. The 2020 award ceremony had to be cancelled. In addition, there are legal requirements that prevent the planning and production of an award ceremony. Award presentations are planned for 2021, but also new ideas or concepts to help best deal with the pandemic. Many paying sustaining members have cancelled their membership or contribute exclusively in kind to the association or offset their contributions against the outstanding membership fees. The special contribution decided by the general meeting is therefore a logical consequence. In this way they show that solidarity comes first in the association.
The fact that helping people to help themselves in the association works is also shown by the board of directors, who took over a mini-job in the association on 1.4.2021 and will end their voluntary work.
